MobilePay is an alternative to cash when you want to make your purchases in stores, apps, online shops, or even split a restaurant bill, request money from your friend after paying for their coffee, or pay for your flea market finds - even online. The need to remember card and account numbers or retrieve bank credentials for making purchases is no longer necessary. Simply enter your information once into MobilePay.

To use MobilePay, you log in to the service using your chosen PIN code. Now, with just a few clicks, you can:

• Make payments in store (Bluetooth, QR code).
• Send money using a mobile phone number.
• Request money from others.
• Share bills with your friends.
• Track shipments and requests.
• Adjust your settings.

If the recipient is not yet a MobilePay user, you can send them a text message indicating that the money is on the way or that you have requested money from them. They simply need to register as a user of the service.

When shopping online, you only need to enter your phone number, and the total amount of your purchase will be sent to MobilePay for approval.

The MobilePay app can be used by anyone over the age of 15. To register, you only need a Finnish phone number, personal identification number, a debit or credit card with activated online payment feature, a bank account number, and bank credentials for online payments and higher usage limits.

Sending money and making purchases will be charged to your selected payment card, and received payments will be credited to your bank account. The funds are available immediately or usually by the next banking day.

Using MobilePay is free of charge. The download and use of the app require data transfer, which your operator will charge according to their service rates.
